The other four phases of development are somewhat obsolete without a rigorous and robust logistics plan, at least from a market viewpoint. In a project for producers trying to make a return-on-investment, distribution is the final step. This can be from sale to the theater, from marketing to a TV network or a streaming channel, or from direct release to DVD.
